Local Police Constable, Shannen Peet said:

“We are investigating these offences and seeking to identify those responsible.

“Whilst we continue with these efforts, I would urge people to permanently mark their tools to make them identifiable and help deter theft; etching tools with a postcode, businesses address or smart water will help police to identify them if they are recovered. I would also strongly urge people with power tools not to leave them in their vehicles overnight or unsecured in their vehicle whilst they work.

“Anyone who witnesses any suspicious behaviour or who has information which could assist should contact police on 101 immediately. Always call 999 if a crime is in progress.”
