54-year-old man had wallet taken and suffered facial injuries on Greengate St in Barrow

Police were called at 3:30am this morning (25th May), to an incident on Greengate Street, Barrow.

Following attending the incident police are investigating the report of a robbery.
The victim, a 54-year-old man from Durham, reported that his wallet had been taken, he suffered facial injuries not believed to be life threatening. He was taken to Furness General hospital.
There was a temporary police cordon on parts of Greengate Street, Rawlinson Street and Sutherland Street whilst investigation took place. The cordon has since been removed.
