Firefighter Tony Callister retiring after 29 years service


Firefighter Tony Callister is retiring from the Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service after saving lives and putting out fires over the past 29 years!


Tony said “I was very overwhelmed by the presentation and would like to say a huge thanks to those that attended."

He continued; "The speeches given by Station Manager Exley and the Chief Fire Officer Steve Healey were very appreciated.

"I have really enjoyed the privilege to serve our community and I leave the service happy and sad. I have worked with great people and had fantastic experiences. I have many interests to follow as I move into retirement."

"I wish Cumbria Fire Service best wishes and a huge thank you for what they gave me. I have been a very lucky individual”
